Hostea guide
How to find a stay, book it and, if you are a host, start welcoming guests.
For guests
Find a stay
Search by city, dates and number of guests, or open a destination page such as Belgrade, Zlatibor or Kopaonik.
Pick dates and see the price
On the property page choose check-in and check-out. You instantly get the total: nights and, where applicable, cleaning. Unavailable dates are marked.
Sign in with one click
Enter your email and we send you a sign-in link. No password. The link is valid for 15 minutes.
Confirm your booking
Enter your name and, optionally, phone and a note. You get a confirmation email and can see every booking under My bookings.
Pay the host
You do not pay on the site. You agree payment directly with the host, usually on arrival.
Leave a review
After your stay you are invited to rate the property and help the next guests.
For hosts
Submit your property
Fill in the form: basics, a Serbian and English description, photos, capacity and nightly price.
We review and publish
We review every listing before it goes live so everything guests see is accurate. If something needs adding, we get in touch.
Connect your calendar
Import an iCal calendar from Airbnb or Booking.com. Sync is automatic, which prevents double bookings.
Receive bookings
You are notified of every new booking. You can turn on auto-accept or confirm them manually.
Register your guests
Foreign nationals must be registered with the authorities within the legal deadline after arrival. Have guests' travel documents ready before they arrive.
Handle taxes
Tourist tax is paid per municipality and night. The Tax add-on helps keep your records in order.
Good to know for stays in Serbia
Bring ID or a passport
Your host must register you, so they will ask for a document on arrival.
Tourist tax
It is not included in the Hostea price. It is paid at the local rate, usually to the host on arrival or departure.
Check-in and check-out
Exact times are on the property page. For an early arrival or late departure, agree with the host.
